Entrance to the Caldas

The Caldas de Monchique are the thermal springs on the south side of Monchique, where the Monchique bottled water is sourced.  There is an old village, the buildings of which are now bars and restaurants.  There are a couple of newer hotels, which offer thermal pampering.  The place is awash with water, it even flows underneath the buildings even (not good Feng Shui surely?).  There is some interesting Moorish style architecture to be seen on some buildings, along with coloured glass panels.

This (my third) painting shows the entrance to the Caldas.  Since then, sadly, the palm tree has died from disease, or insect attack.

Painting commissions
I am open to doing painting commissions, if there is a subject you would like me to paint for you.  For example, I am currently working on a commission of a painting of a client's house in Monchique.

If you would like more information about this, please contact me
